Friday, May 13 may be considered unlucky by some, but it may be a very lucky and very special day for the more than 200 special education students who are participating in the San Bernardino City Unified School District (SBCUSD) Olympics.

The annual event, held this year at Cajon High School, had to be put on hold in 2020 and 2021 due to COVID concerns. The SBCUSD Special Education Department is pleased to bring this popular event back for 2022. Approximately 220 students, ages 14 to 22, in the moderate to severely disabled category will participate in a host of games and athletic competitions, including badminton, field hockey, long jump, frisbee, and more.

The Opening Ceremonies begin at 8:30 a.m. at Cajon High School, 1200 West Hill Drive, San Bernardino.

Attendance at the SBCUSD Olympics is limited to students, students’ invited parents/guests, and members of the media. All visitors must check in at the front office and present valid identification immediately upon arrival.
