Thank a Lunch Hero Next Week
Among

sure to use the hashtag #SBCUSDTeacherHeroes.

Honoring the Legacy of Dr. Margaret Hill
Four
months have passed since the untimely death of Board of Education member Dr. Margaret Hill, and the legacy of our beloved retired administrator continues to be felt around SBCUSD.
A display case at the Board of Education building lobby is dedicated to Dr. Hill and showcases a variety of mementos from her decades of advocacy on behalf of children in our region. The display case includes the commemorative
gavel fellow trustees presented to Dr. Hill following her term as president of the governing body, along with proclamations and awards she earned over the years. You can view the case during business hours, Monday through Friday,
8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Board of Education building, 777 North F Street, San Bernardino.
And District Police patrol cars are emblazoned with a color decal of Dr. Hill, with her famous quote, “It’s all about the children,” underneath.
An ardent advocate for children, Dr. Hill died in December 2021 at the age of 81 after being elected to the Board of Education in 2011. She led the District as Board President from 2015–2017. She started her local education
career in 1971 as a teacher before serving as vice principal at San Bernardino High School. Dr. Hill retired from SBCUSD in 2003 after serving 16 years as the principal of San Andreas High School. |
