San Bernardino City Unified School District awards grants to support innovative initiatives that align with the Community Engagement Plan and hold promise for positively impacting one or more of the District's Key Performance Indicators.
District employees may submit applications for grant funding between $1,000 and $200,000 to try a new teaching method, introduce new technology, expand a best practice to a new location, offer a unique experience for students, implement a creative idea to engage the community, or explore another innovation. In April 2020, SBCUSD will award up to $750,000 in Board Innovation Grants.
We recommend DOWNLOADING the RFA in order to help develop your project. You can use this method to build your application and simply copy and paste it into the official online application portal. Downloading the required SITE APPROVAL, BUDGET FORM, as well as the SCORING RUBRIC will help you and your project team build a winning submission.
Virtual Skills Workshop
If you were unable to attend an in-person event, this video will walk you through the same material we covered in the on-site workshops. Have fun!
