Overview

 The San Bernardino City Unified School District Family Resource Center was designed to improve Family, School and Community Partnerships. The main goal is to help parents become more involved in their children’s education and assist schools with the implementation of successful and effective parental involvement policies and programs that lead to improvements in student academic achievement. Schools, families, and communities work together to greatly improve the academic success rate of students.

Mentoring Program

Always wanted to mentor a San Bernardino area child, but didn’t know where to go? The SBCUSD-Family Resource Center is looking for enthusiastic, honest, dependable, and caring volunteer mentors willing to provide guidance and support to youth in our schools.  Mentoring activities include academic tutoring, college preparation assistance, building job skills, leadership development and more. You don’t need prior experience—just be a caring adult who wants to make a difference in the life of a child! Please read the Mentoring Job Descriptions and print the Mentor Application
