The San Bernardino City Unified School District Family Resource Center was designed to improve Family, School and Community Partnerships. The main goal is to help parents become more involved in their children’s education and assist schools with the implementation of successful and effective parental involvement policies and programs that lead to improvements in student academic achievement. Schools, families, and communities work together to greatly improve the academic success rate of students.
The following services are provided by our District or partners from other agencies and community groups in order to provide a broad range of programs, activities, and services to meet the total needs of families.

- Health and nutrition classes
- Parent-to-parent support groups
- Information and referral to community resources
- Sociological and homeless liaison services

Always wanted to mentor a San Bernardino area child, but didn’t know where to go? The SBCUSD-Family Resource Center is looking for enthusiastic, honest, dependable, and caring volunteer mentors willing to provide guidance and support to youth in our schools. Mentoring activities include academic tutoring, college preparation assistance, building job skills, leadership development and more.
