Challenge the Challenge groups are being offered at Barton Academy of Excellence Elementary School for students 1st through 6th grade. The groups are open to children who want to challenge a problem such as students who are failing in school, have lost their confidence in their abilities, are acting out in various ways, students with AD/HD, and so on. The groups usually consist of three to six children who have had similar feelings and experiences surrounding challenges at school.

The group is designed to rebuild confidence and focus on getting back on track with their schoolwork. The real creativity in this program is based upon the successes students have already gained in their short schooling careers. There will be a discussion and activities in each session. The artwork that the children have done will be saved and sent home after the last session. Your child may be interested in sharing this with you between the group sessions.

The group will meet once a week during the regular school day for approximately 35 minutes. We are very happy to offer this service to your child and you are encouraged to share any information, which would assist me in helping your child be successful and happy.
