The primary mission of the San Bernardino City Unified School District is to provide academic instruction sufficient to develop the skills, knowledge, and understanding required to promote personal development to the fullest extent of the individual's potential.

Participating in Project Based Learning and Community Classroom Internships that yield the opportunity for students to apply the skills, knowledge, and understanding they have attained, underscoring the importance thereof, is the mission of the District's Regional Occupational Program. 

Aligned with goals set forth in the California Education Code (Section 52300), the San Bernardino City Unified School District, as a participating member of the San Bernardino County Superintendent of School's Regional Occupational Consortium, offers a myriad of Regional Occupational Program courses, all of which are designed to provide career/technical training that will prepare students for: 1) entry level employment, or 2) higher level skills, due to new and changing technologies, and/or 3) enrollment in more advanced training programs consistent with the employment demands of the local area.
