SBCUSD Multi-Tiered Systems of Supports (MTSS)

The SBCUSD MTSS Framework is a capacity building and systems improvement process rooted in improvement science. When actualized, a fully integrated MTSS Framework will meet the academic, behavior and social-emotional needs of children, families, and staff.

MTSS Framework

SBCUSD Definition: MTSS is a comprehensive framework, rooted in equity, that includes a climate of collaboration among all stakeholders and addresses the academic, behavioral and social emotional needs based on data.

Purpose: Provide consistent opportunity and structures for educators to collaboratively solve data-driven needs of students, families and staff.

Objective: Implement a systematic approach for data-driven, early intervention and continuous improvement yielding impactful outcomes for all stakeholders.
